With a broken connection between my brain and body, I struggled to walk without aids or stand for long periods of time. And my energy... well, I had none. Even the smallest outing would leave me exhausted, nauseas and shaky. Coming to see Dr. Mike was an act of desperation. We'd explored countless options western and alternative medicine could offer for the past few years with no success.
If you had told me that I'd leave my acupuncture appointments with more energy than when I'd come, I would have had a hard time believing you. But when I walked away from my first appointment - on my own two feet rather than piggybacked by my husband - we knew we'd found the person that could finally help us. And the miracles continued. Michael is just awesome! He’s comfortable to be around and SO not judgmental, you can tell him all the health stuff! He takes his time, asks lots of questions, and truly wants to find the root of the issue and get everything balanced. I was actually really scared to have an acupuncture but it was great! Couple of them were uncomfortable but once they’re in you can’t even tell, you lay there with them in about half an hour and I about fell asleep! He studied IN China, and definitely knows his stuff! I saw him for some TMJ issues but I’ve got a ton of other things I’m going to have him help me out with as well. Absolutely worth the visit and I will be back!

Mr. Fixit!
I sought Dr. Berger’s emergency help for a very badly pinched nerve that disabled my entire shoulder girdle. A bulging disc from stomach sleeping finally caught up with me and put me down for 14 days of disabling pain.
Two sessions with Dr. Berger put me right. During the first one he worked conservatively in order to not worsen the spasms. When I arrived I could only stand if I kept my arm directly above my head in the air - this somehow relieved the pain enough to mange being upright for only a couple of minutes. After the first session, my arm was down at my side and some of the natural curvature to my neck had returned. He prescribed gentle traction and advised me on which positions to try and to avoid during rest.
During the second session, because of my progress and with my permission, he was more aggressive in targeting many points that would bring relief. It was intense! He checked in with me regularly to monitor my response and when the good healing power of the needles started to trigger spasms he switched to other modalities but assured me that the needles, tho intense would help greatly.
That was all it took to put me back on track and back to work.
Dr Berger had a wealth of knowledge to advise me regarding therapies and tools I could use at home to assist with my recovery in what will be a long process of correcting my sleep position. I am completely happy with all of his suggestions.
I highly recommend Dr. Berger. Those who are able to receive the full intensity of his knowledge and skills will make even quicker progress.

Had a wonderful experience with Doctor Mike. Came here with intense gall bladder pain and had read online that acupuncture could help relieve it. In 3 sessions, together with a special diet and gall bladder cleanse, I was able to pass 100 gallstones naturally, and avoid surgery. Dr. Berger came and helped my Father when he just came out of ICU from having a brain bleed. Essentially a stroke. My Father had no movement in his left side and the Doctors did not know at this point essentially what would return. After one visit the left side had significant movement. My dad has seen him regularly since and is now walking and moving around successfully. People cannot believe that he has improved so quickly. Modern medicine doctors have said he is ahead of schedule. We attribute this to Dr. Berger's skill and ways to deal with his progress so successfully. No matter what is your problem don't delay don't leave this to be the last thing you try. Have it intermingled with all that you are doing for your health.

I had a constant pain in my left wrist and dreaded going to the doctor for fear that he would say i had carpel tunnel and i did not want to operate. so i lived with the pain for months. when i got to dr. mike, i told him about my wrist which was just part of my problem. he treated my wrist and i swear that the pain went away after one time. he told me that was unusual, and most patients required more treatments. i didn't. he also did some acupuncture on my toes and again....i was practically cured of pain. he looks at your eyes. he looks at your tongue....something that no other doctor has ever done with me. his confident, quiet manner reassures me somehow, that i'm going to get better. it's hard to explain. when i go to him for treatments, because i am very high strung, he puts needles in my head. my depression begins to subside, and i settle down. my mind stops racing, and i get calm. he is the best doctor i have ever had for acupuncture. and i've been to some big hot shots. he takes his time. and he cares....i can tell. because i go on intuition a lot, i know this doctor is someone special. i know he was trained in china and got the scoop from the old timey chinese doctors. that's what i like. he went to the source....and brought the results to me.

Mike Berger received his acupuncture training in China at a Chinese Medical University. He doesn't rush through the treatment. He asks a lot of questions and definitely takes a holistic approach to treating his patients. He uses sterile disposable one-use acupuncture needles. The needles are extremely thin and is some cases I could barely feel the needles going in. My treatment was not painful. After the needles were in I actually dozed off for several minutes. I believe in the effectiveness of acupuncture and I was 100% satisfied with my acupuncture treatment.

Dr Mike took a lot of time with me, and showed real compassion. He has a comfortable, quiet office that's not a typical 'doctor's office'. It has a chinese ambience. He was friendly, & did not try to rush me out the door. He treated a sports injury for me, and used electrodes on the needles, and also a mineral type of heat lamp... I was happy with Dr Mike.
